Runaway (1984)
This film is usually credited as ending Michael Crichton’s directing career, but it’s not all that bad. Sure, it has the standard action movie clichés, poor acting and the ending credits sequence is one of the corniest things I’ve ever seen. Yet, the concept is strong and imaginative. What really kills this film, though, is the pacing. It feels slow and dated especially when compared to The Terminator which was released the same year.
